When a specific writer takes over a character (e.g. "The Morrison Run"). I try to track by Runs when I can because they usually offer the most consistent story arc.
Crisis / Event
A massive crossover (like Flashpoint) where the whole universe teams up. Expect chaos, art changes, and timeline resets.
Tie-In
An issue from a regular series (like Nightwing #20) that connects to a major Event happening elsewhere. I flag these so you don't miss context!
System Legend
Core Story
Must Read
The absolute critical path. Skip these and you'll be lost.
Known Aliases:
🦇 Essential💣 Mandatory⚡ Specials🦸 Key🎪 Main Event🕹️ Main Story
Content Flags
Caution
Heavy themes (gore, assault, trauma). Filter these out via settings if needed.
Known Aliases:
🦇 Warnings💣 Threats⚡ Spicy🦸 Warn🎪 Risk🕹️ Warning
Vibes & Chill
Optional
Low stakes, character bonding, or just plain fun. A break from the angst.
DC continuity is a mess. If a story is technically "out of order" but makes perfect emotional sense for the character's growth, I put it where it feels right.
The "No Fluff" Policy
If an issue isn't listed, it's not missing—it was cut on purpose! I trim the generic "villain of the week" filler so you can focus on the major arcs.
Retcon Resistance
I ignore bad retcons. If a Pre-Crisis story is essential to understanding who Nightwing is today, it stays on the list, canon be damned.
